Prof. Dr. Öztürk Emiroğlu Evaluated World Turkish Language Family Day at TRT Erzurum Radio

Prof. Dr. Ozturk Emiroğlu was a guest of TRT Erzurum Radiosu for the 15 December World Turkish Language Family Day. The historical development of Turkish language in the program, scientific status, ideal of unity in the language and joint alphabet process was discussed. Prof. Dr. Emiroglu was rated UNESCO as a historical milestone in terms of Turkishology, which is considered a “language family”. It expresses that this development means the registration of Turkish language at an international academic level. Our Rector, which emphasizes that Turkish is among the most widely used languages across the world, especially Turkey Turkish language family has a central and decisive position. Turkey, spoken by more than 100 million people in the daily life, noted that Turkish English strengthens the nature of becoming a common communication language in the Turkish world. Prof., who mentions the ideal of unity in language in the program. Home Emiroğlu expressed that this process requires a long-term and planned structure, not short-term. Our Rector, which states that the common Turkish Alphabet is one of the most important stages of this process, said that the common alphabet accepted by the Turkish States in 2024 will contribute to the creation of common language consciousness. Our Rector, who also pay attention to the role of child literature in the development of language consciousness, expressed that language protection and transfer started early ages. The common fairy tales stressed that it is a fundamental element in terms of sustainability of the language to be transferred to future generations through the children’s literature of the genus, atales and the presence of words. Our Rector announced that in this context, Ardahan University will organize a panel titled “Dilde Unity Idealine Giden Road World Turkish Language Family Day and Child Literature”. Panelin expressed that Turkish language studies aimed to provide academic contributions and create awareness for language consciousness. Panelin expressed that Ardahan University Yenisey Yerleşkesi will be held at Ardahan University on 15 December 2025 and is open to all participants who are interested in the event, academics, students and issues.
