Our Rector attended ÜNIDES Project Training Closing Program, which was carried out in the Coordination of Our Emergency Aid and Disaster Management Department

Our university was successfully completed in the scope of the 6th term project of the Turkish Red Crescent Youth Club and Emergency Aid and Disaster Management Department. The closing ceremony of the program was held in the Conference Hall of Technical Sciences on 17 April 2026. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Öztürk Emiroğlu stressed that he was the basic priorities of growing a generation prepared for disasters in his speech. In this context, students expressed that the hardware gained by this training will add strength to social endurance. During a week-long training process, a comprehensive lectures were given to our students by specialist instructors in the Provincial Directorate of Kahramanmaraş Disaster and Emergency (AFAD). Trainings were carried out as theoretical and applicative in both search-jacking, navigation, camping and mountaining issues. Through these activities, participants have developed their competencies in the immediate correct intervention methods and effective mobility of the field. The program ends with the collective photo shoot after the presentation of the document, plaque and gift to the expert instructors.
