Prof. Prof. Dr. Öztürk Emiroğlu and Mr. Secretary General H. Caner Akkurt visited Tigem Castle excavation area, which is located in the Göle district of Ardahan and carried out on behalf of our University. Tigem Castle’s Historical Day Face
In the sitadel (inner castle) section, which started its work in the previous years in Tigem Castle, research on the determination of architectural residues’ plan and usage characteristics are maintained. In this context, the emergence of stratigraphy of the area is aimed to evaluate the data belonging to the Late Iron Age with the Late Tunç-Eken Iron Age and to identify the location of the region in more detail.
