Within the scope of cultural harmony activities organized by our University International Student Coordinator, a comprehensive excursion program was held to Kars city for international students. The first stop of the program, which was held in order to recognize the local values of the students, observe the historical texture of Turkey and strengthen social interaction between them, was the Kars Castle and its surroundings, which is the landmarks of the city. Then the students from Anatolia’s spiritual architects visited Ebu’l Hasan Harakani Türbesi, had the opportunity to see Kars’ architectural heritage by examining the historical texture in the city center while receiving detailed information about the cultural and belief world of the region. The delegation of Kafkas University was hosted at the time of the program, where academic collaboration and hospitality were welcomed. Deputy Director of the Rector of Kafkas University under the visit Prof. Home Engin Kılıç was visited in the authority, the studies carried out by the coordinator and an efficient opinion on social compliance processes of international students. After academic contacts, students who visited the Museum of Veterinary Faculty within the university examined the interest of the artifacts exhibited in the history of livestock and biological heritage of the region. Another important point of the trip has created the Wild Life Protection, Recovery and Rehabilitation Center, which is the leading centers in Turkey. Students who are interested in nature protection activities and treatment processes of wounded wild animals have gained significant awareness about biodiversity in the region. The event completed with the city center tour at the end of the day was the opportunity to create unforgettable memories of the students and their cultural heritage of Anatolia.
